HaloSource, Inc. is a global antimicrobial and clean technology solutions company whose goal is to improve quality of life and health through unique proprietary antimicrobial solutions that reliably and effective purify water and kill germs. We have an opportunity on our Regulatory team for a Regulatory Assistant interested in working in environmental law and with regulatory agencies such as the EPA. Position is full-time (flexible hours available) at our Bothell headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working directly with in-house regulatory counsel, perform administrative and research support duties for our regulatory efforts. The ideal candidate will become proficient in routine support work and will be able to take on additional responsibilities and grow in the role.
General work falls under environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act (CWA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), and Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA). A base of knowledge in science and chemistry is required for this position, as you will work with microbiologists, chemists, and engineers. Specific duties include:
· Completion and submission of regulatory filings and applications for various state and federal agencies.
· Assist Regulatory counsel in performing statutory and regulatory research and writing in support of Halosource products and business strategies.
· Ensure compliance for our products, technologies and operations including maintaining state and federal EPA registrations, and other regulatory requirements.
· Develop and maintain productive relationships with state and federal agencies, partners and internal contacts.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology). Fundamentalknowledge of science is required for this position.
· Prior legal or regulatory experience (or currently attending in law school) is desired.
· Relevant regulatory compliance experience in a broad spectrum of regulations such as EPA, FIFRA, EPA TSCA, DOT Hazardous Materials Shipping, etc. is desired.
· Prior administrative experience.
· Experience or interest working with regulatory agencies; knowledge of or familiarity with environmental statutes
· Excellent written and verbal skills; effective interpersonal skills
· Prior experience working in a scientific or research position desired.
· Ability to work collaboratively with technical staff, marketing professionals, and agency representatives at all levels.
· Aptitude to grasp and understand new technologies
· Strong work ethic and high integrity
